TextGuard’s pricing structure immediately raises red flags. There’s no free plan, no free trial, and no way to preview how the product performs before committing payment.

The website shows a countdown timer. This “urgency tactic” is a common psychological trigger used in aggressive digital marketing, but it has little to do with genuine discounts. The pricing is always the same, which makes the “limited-time offer” misleading at best.

When we input AI-generated text from ChatGPT, TextGuard’s “humanized” output was one of the worst we’ve tested. Rather than improving the text, it degraded it.

While their reply sounds professional, it avoids addressing the actual accusation. The reviewer wasn’t mistaken about the name. They accused TextGuard of search ad impersonation, which matches multiple reports of their ads impersonating the branding of other AI humanizers.

TextGuard still runs ads targeting competitors’ brand names like “TwainGPT,” “BypassGPT,” and “Grubby,” reinforcing that pattern. This isn’t confusion; it’s deliberate misdirection.
