AIDetectPlus Review: Can It Bypass AI Detectors?

AIDetectPlus Review: Can It Bypass AI Detectors?

🧠 What Is AIDetectPlus?

AIDetectPlus markets itself as an AI platform offering both an AI Detector and an AI Humanizer, claiming advanced accuracy and humanization capabilities. It also advertises itself as “backed by Y Combinator” — a claim for which we found no supporting evidence. Despite multiple searches, there is no record of AIDetectPlus or its founders on Y Combinator’s official list, nor any mention in startup databases or press releases.

The site also includes a donation section asking users to “buy us a coffee,” with the tagline:

We’re college dropouts making AI accessible to students. Your support helps us maintain our generous free tier for 10,000+ students worldwide.

However, a quick check of co-founder Hugh Gupta’s LinkedIn profile shows he graduated from IIT Delhi in 2020, contradicting the “college dropout” narrative entirely. Between the exaggerated YC claim and the misleading backstory, AIDetectPlus raises immediate credibility concerns.

💸 Pricing

AIDetectPlus offers both one-time credits and a monthly plan. New users get 1,000 free credits (about 1,000 words), which is generous.

Plan Type Price Claimed Discount
20,000 credits One-time $14 30% off
40,000 credits One-time $24 40% off
Unlimited credits Monthly $19 “81% off”

Each plan displays a “limited-time sale” countdown, but it resets on refresh. The pricing itself is simple, but the fake urgency and “bulk discount” framing make it feel like a marketing gimmick rather than a genuine deal.

🧪 AI Humanizer Test

The AI Humanizer promises to “make your AI text undetectable by AI detectors.” To test this, we input several AI-generated samples from ChatGPT.

We then ran the output through major detectors, including GPTZero, Turnitin, and Copyleaks. In every case, the “humanized” text was still flagged as 100% AI.

Detector Result
GPTZero ❌ 100% AI
Turnitin ❌ 100% AI
Copyleaks ❌ 100% AI

🤖 AI Detector Test

The AI Detector performed even worse than the Humanizer. We tested three types of text:

  • 100% AI-generated
  • 100% human-written
  • Mixed human + AI content

Every single result came back as 100% AI, regardless of the actual source.

Input Type Detector Result
AI Text 100% AI
Human Text 100% AI
Mixed Text 100% AI

This suggests the AI Detector doesn’t function as a real detection model at all. It behaves more like a static response generator with no meaningful analysis.

💻 User Interface & Experience

The interface is minimal but frustrating. The sidebar buttons often fail to respond unless the user scrolls to a specific point on the page. The overall layout feels unfinished.

The “Buy us a coffee” section and Y Combinator badge create a false sense of credibility. Claiming institutional backing and “dropout innovation” while providing a broken product does not inspire trust.

⚠️ Credibility Issues

AIDetectPlus makes several claims that fall apart under basic scrutiny:

  • “Backed by Y Combinator” — no public record, no mention on YC’s official portfolio.
  • “Built by college dropouts” — co-founder Hugh Gupta is an IIT Delhi graduate.
  • “Accurate AI Detection” — our tests show identical 100% AI results regardless of input.
  • “Humanizer that makes text undetectable” — proven false in tests against major detectors.

Both the marketing and the technology appear misleading.

🧾 Scorecard

Feature Rating Notes
AI Humanizer ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Fails to bypass any major detector.
AI Detector ☆☆☆☆☆ (0/5) Always outputs “100% AI.”
UI & UX ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Buggy sidebar and poorly designed interface.
Pricing / Value ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) 1,000 free words, but no real subscription value.
Trust & Transparency ☆☆☆☆☆ (0/5) False YC claim and misleading founder details.

Overall Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5)

🧩 Final Verdict

AIDetectPlus mixes bold marketing with broken tools. Both its AI Detector and Humanizer fail at their core purpose. With constant 100% AI results and false promotional claims, it’s difficult to take the platform seriously.

The claims of being “Backed by Y Combinator” and “built by dropouts” are misleading. Combined with buggy behavior, fake urgency tactics, and nonfunctional features, AIDetectPlus feels more like an unfinished project than a real AI humanizer.

We do not recommend AIDetectPlus.
